VHT is a safe, holistic non-diagnostic energy discipline consisting of a series of non-invasive procedures performed over connective soft tissue which assists and re-educates the body in finding balance and achieving the ideal state of homeostasis, wherein its innate wisdom is encouraged to work at its maximum in addressing positively any problem or disease that it may or may not have.
VHT may be looked upon quite simply as a bodywork gift from the practitioner to the client. With this paradigm in mind it could be argued that VHT is perhaps a bridge or the missing link between energy healing work and hands on bodywork. It is ‘the key’ which allows the body to reset itself by opening the door to the inbuilt healing system that exists within all of us, perpetually striving to achieve the status of perfect health.
The VHT practitioner takes a holistic approach by addressing the client without focus on the symptoms. The moves are gentle, and are performed in a prescribed pattern, irrespective of the clients’ complaints. Many report positive results on problems which were not the ones for which they had in fact had a session.
In a medical definition VHT does not cure or heal any named allopathic problems. The key here is to address the ‘whole’ person and not just the symptoms. It is merely the gift to the body to encourage the body’s own healing system to reach its maximum potential and to resolve whatever relative problem may exist. However, in saying that, patients worldwide have experienced complete or partial relief from symptoms or stress as a result of having experienced the holistic approach of this discipline.
Approximately 80% of all clients have experienced a successful result after 2 or 3 VHT sessions. Success being defined as going from total relief of the symptom to at least a dramatic reduction of the symptom and, an improvement in the functional range of motion.
VHT: all you really need to know
– It is a body balancing modality, which assists the body in achieving homeostasis which is the ideal situation for self-address wherein the body may positively look upon any unwanted trauma, structure or disease with a view to correcting it.
– It is a postural integration modality in that after a session many clients notice the positive change in their posture.
– It is a myofascial release modality in that the moves are carried out over fascial meridian chains of the body.
– It is also a trigger point release modality in that work is done over specific trigger points releasing the trauma in them although that is not the intent.
